Huh?! Tarifa in januari? Huh?! Jaaaa! Wat een geweldige week met KiteActive was dit. De perfecte balans tussen de voordelen van een groepsreis (samen het water op, elkaar helpen op het strand, tips en progressiesessies) zonder de nadelen (geen verplichte of semi-verplichte activiteiten).
Ik ging redelijk bleu de trip in maar mijn verwachtingen zijn vér overtroffen. De eigenaar van KiteActive, Felix, begeleidde de reis samen met een team van super sociale en ervaren kitesurfers. Dat zijn gezin mee was, was zo gezellig! Voelde echt alsof we met onze selfmade family op vakantie waren haha 😊
Van de 7 dagen hebben we er 6 kunnen kiten — wat de trip natuurlijk sowieso mega geslaagd maakte. We hebben alle condities meegemaakt. Van downwinders met killerwaves tot heerlijke lagoonsessies en een prachtige sunsetsessie als afsluiter.
De begeleiding was top: elke ochtend een heerlijk verzorgd ontbijt, een relaxte maar duidelijke organisatie en genoeg nevenactiviteiten waar je vrijblijvend aan kon meedoen—zoals hiken, een wing clinic door Bart, de bonte avond en natuurlijk; de tintotrein. De sfeer in de groep was heel fijn. Echt mijn fijnste kitetrip tot nu toe!
Handige tips voor toekomstige kiters:
• In het WildHouse slaap je in een dorm met meerdere mensen, super gezellig, maar neem oordopjes mee.
• Tarifa is dynamisch qua wind dus neem al je kitematen mee.
• Het weer kan alle kanten op: laagjes kleding mee dus 🙂
• Een auto (of autodelen) is aan te raden—ideaal om te gaan en staan waar je wilt.
Alle info vind je ook op de website van KiteActive en vooraf is er ruim mogelijkheid om je vragen te stellen en je medekiters vast een beetje te leren kennen. Kortom: kiten met KiteActive in Tarifa is een absolute aanrader voor kiters die een relaxte, sociale en goed georganiseerde trip zoeken.

Just back from the Wadden Weekend Kite Trip with KiteActive, and wow, what an awesome weekend! 🌊🪁
Everything was super well arranged, the food was absolutely amazing, and the vibes were super chill. We had great wind conditions, and the progression sessions were epic.
What really stood out was how much time the guys took to explain things and help us push our kiting skills further. You could really feel they wanted to see everyone progress, and that made it even more fun and motivating.
Great people, great vibes, good food, good wind, can’t ask for more. Already looking forward to the next one!

Ongelooflijk mooie kitetrip naar Tarifa gemaakt en heel goed verzorgd. Ook op de dagen dat t niet waait weet KiteActive ons prima bezig te houden. Topcrew! Met ook nog een ontzettend goede kok! Gegarandeerd gezelligheid, goede instructies voor t kiten ( voor zowel beginners als gevorderde) , mooie kite lokaties en vooral genieten, heel veel genieten!!

Genoten in Sicilië!
In juli 2025 ben ik met KiteActive naar Sicilië geweest. Mijn eerste keer kitesurfen, wat een geweldige ervaring!
Onder prima omstandigheden (de meeste dagen wind) en dankzij de goede lessen heb ik kennis kunnen maken met deze mooie sport.
Goede organisatie, leuke mensen, lekker eten en een toplocatie. Alles was super geregeld. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! KiteActive, bedankt voor deze mooie week!

In 21 years of kiting this was by far my best Kite Experience ever. Riding out the TVTAS-downwinder was a huge challenge which I was Able to complete thanks to the Kiteactive team. Always making sure of our safety in very challenging conditions. 4m High Waves and very Strong currents were but of a few conditionaliteit to mention. But Above all their carefull planning and Knowledge of the North Sea and currents made for a safe yet exhilarating kiteadventure. A true challenge for kiteboard-experts only.

KiteActive started out by organizing kite and sailing trips along the Wadden Islands. The combination of a week of intensive kitesurfing (lessons) and a holiday in a place with all the essentials – wind, beach, water, and a laid-back vibe – turned out to be a winning concept.
Our passion for travel and kitesurfing has taken us to countless kitespots around the world, and we’re still on the hunt for the best destinations to (learn to) kitesurf. Thanks to the experience and enthusiasm of our instructors, KiteActive has grown steadily. In 2011, we expanded to Tarifa and Brazil, and in 2012, Zanzibar. Many other unique destinations followed. Each spot has its own perks, from budget-friendly options to the ultimate experience.
